Miss Sassy Pants

Hide and Seek

I had taken away Mr Lou's blanket the other day so while I was out of the room he decided to improvise and crawl into the sleeve of my sweatshirt that was lying on the couch. It was pretty funny watching him try to escape once he decided he was ready to get up!

Baptism

This weekend we had Natalie baptized at our church, St Lukes. A big thank you to her Godparents Kyle & Kara for being a part of this special moment in Natalie's life and thanks to our families who traveled to be here this weekend!

Sit Up Pretty

Natalie really wants to sit up on her own so I've been having her practice a little each day. She still needs her hands to keep her balance and is a little wobbly but she is getting a lot stronger and almost has the hang of it!

Poor Puppy!!

We have had a stressful few weeks because Dorie hurt her back and we sadly watched her get worse each day. Last Monday morning she had gotten to the point where she couldn't move her back left leg at all and could barely walk. She had a severely ruptured disk and we decided to have it surgically removed. She has been home for 5 days recovering and is getting stronger each day. We hope that she will make a full recovery and we will soon have our old Dorie back!

Rolly Polly

Natalie does not like laying on her back (our beloved activity mat was no use after she hit 3 months) and she has been trying for a while to sit up or roll over. She finally figured out how to get from her back to her tummy and is even doing it in her crib at night. It especially comes in handy when there is a toy out of her reach as you can see in the video!

Did Somebody Say Sweet Potatoes?

After Natalie's lack of enthusiasm for her baby cereal I was worried she would never like anything other than her bottle but last week she was introduced to the lovely world of "real" baby food and she can't get enough. We started on bananas and by the end of the week she could polish off a whole jar in one sitting. Last night she tried her first veggie (sweet potatoes may be a little bit of a cheat but they are still technically a vegetable!) She loved them even though a good portion ended up on her face. As a result bath time is now immediately following dinner instead of right before bed...

Irish Pride

I know St Patricks Day was a while ago but Natalie still loves her "Kiss me, I'm Irish" gear and this picture was just too cute not to post
